...headed back into the Smokys to see my parents who were hanging out with old friends in a cabin near Dollywood. We went to the top of Clingman's Dome, drank beers by the Little Pigeon River and played some pool. May, 2012.

...en route to Alabama, I passed through Smokey Mountain National Park. I camped out in Elkmont, which was formerly a small village of vacation houses, now in ruin by this beautiful mountain stream. It rained. A lot.

...hurricane Irene really changed the river's path through the back of the peace village. It's a walk from the sweat lodge now. May, 2012.
Cannibal Village, Piney Woods Road, Monkton, Vermont
...stopped of at the cannibal village. It's lookin' pretty ancient these days. All of the thatch is rotted away, the chief's hut has mostly collapsed and the fire pit is a science project pond. The winter has not treated these tropics well at all... April, 2012.
