Musee des Beaux-Arts, Montreal, Quebec
...Wendi and I hit Montreal the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was a great trip and we enjoyed an afternoon at the Fine Arts Museum; where a series called "Big Bang" was on exhibit. This exhibition, of Quebecois artists, contained work "reacting" to the permanent collection of the museum. There was some pretty funny pieces and some thought provoking ones as well. November, 2011.

Found: original Interrupt Art Magazine
Found an original and rare red-covered Interrupt Magazine, circa 1999, in a box at my parents house. Mikael Kennedy and I published this collection of our concert photos our second year at Hampshire. Mikael has now gone on to publish several books of his photography. Below it is my first and well-worn copy of the Tao Te Ching, I used to carry around in high school, that I also unearthed in Nelsonville.
MoMA, New York, New York
Vik Muniz, untitled?
She-Goat. Pablo Picasso, in the garden.
Fingers. Man Ray.
Henri Cartier-Bresson. (unsure of the title)
_________
Wendi just started her job at the CMA, which gives us free access to all the city's museums. The first stop was The MoMA. The DeKooning exhibit was the spotlight, but I am not a huge fan of his. These images above, were the things that realy caught my eye. At least on this visit...And the Henri Rousseau stuff that I couldn't take pictures of. The Modern is great. The end. October, 2011.
